Not hooray! (Page 1 of 2)

So this will come as no surprise to 99.9% of you, 90% of whom have no idea who I am, but I will in no way be able to raid with Blades any longer. I realize I have stopped raiding anyway, but I decided to make it official because I was recenetly accepted into an MA program in Counselling Psychology in British Columbia, which will last 2 years starting in August.

I will be keeping my account, and will continue to pay for it as I will login from time to time to check up on things and hang out. Come expansion, Ringil and I will be leveling together, so I'd like to stay in the guild as an honorary member

Deciding to stop raiding was not easy for me, but the lack of excitement from logging in to this darned game made it a bit easier. Hearing how amazing BoW is doing these days makes me really wish I was still a part of the raiding crew, but it’s just not in the cards for me right now.  I have been with this guild for almost 4 years now (Bala, correct me if I'm wrong), and I've fostered some amazing friendships along the way. Blades has been the only raiding guild that I have had the pleasure to be a part of, and I truly appreciate being a part of this talented and ever evolving guild!

Some highlights of my Blades experience include (also known as a trip down memory lane....):

• My first raid with BoW, while still guilded with TEMPERED SOULS (I think that’s the name, but it was either that or something equally amazing), killing a green dragon and even getting loot (I felt sooooooooo badass – “Thanks bitches, I knew it was mine!”)

• Getting accepted to BoW – now whether this was because a) I’m a girl, b) I’m Canadian, c) I’m Ringil’s sister, or the less likely d) I was an asset to the guild, is still up for debate

• Getting to know some of the best players on IC who no longer play – Brenholder, Nurai, Thordina, Vas, Toil, Alurez, Dredonar, Soup, Sylvarine, Maghnis,  Montie, Calliea, Feona, Cervantes, Bigsteve, Fandy (before officer status) <3

• Raiding with Rokar. I still remember how scared I was on my first time to C’thun and how Ringil was trying to explain the red eye beam to me. Naturally, I died to it the first attempt I was in the raid for, and Rokar chewed me out (which was pretty devastating to me since it was my first time there and I was freaking out). However, I then proceeded to not die to the red beam again that night, and Ringil was ever so proud!  RinRin forever!

• Killing KT in original Naxx and being able to spam Axl for rejuvs with the push of a button – WEBBED!!!!

• Leveling with various pals during BC, and (I’m pretty sure) getting beat to level 70 by none other than Goldy.... who levelled protection....

• Being able to dominate the Vashj fight with Ringil – *nostalgic sigh*

• Tanking Illidan – by far the highlight of my time with BoW. Tanking Leotheras was sweet too, mostly because I got to wear a pink monocle, but the epic scale of the Illidan fight was no match for SSC.

• Levelling so hardcore with Ringil in WotLK that I got really sick once we reached 80 (4 hours of sleep a couple days in a row is awesome) and couldn’t play for a few days.... however, we were in the first 10-15 players to reach 80 on IC, so it was clearly worth it

• Finally collecting every in game pet possible (not including blizzcon and card game ones) back in January of this year! Yes, I’m awesome http://www.warcraftpets.com/account/pro … rinnie#col

• Having only one 310 mount in game  – and it’s purple

• Getting to see Khald become an officer, cause really, who doesn’t like Khald?

Thanks to the officers and Goldy for being awesome and keeping me around for as long as you did. I know my work schedule ultimately lead to my demise in raiding, but such is life. I look forward to hearing about BoW dominating the IC raiding scene in the future, so keep up the great work!
